I'm Here!

I have to say that I am scared to death to post. I don't want to get sucked back into the blogging world. I have barely even checked up on anyone, hoping that I wouldn't feel the urge to post. But I looked and here I am. So my question is how can everyone keep up on their blogs and still get stuff done? Maybe I am an all or nothing gal! As I type this my children are telling on each other for all the mean things that the other one said. Lexy even just corrected me on what I was typing - and she was right. So is my house clean after my grounding. It is much more organized, but I still haven't finished the touch up paint. But enough is enough! Maybe this summer I will get to it. I could thank the rooster for that since he crows so early - it kicks me out of bed. Mainly because I am panicked as to what the neighbors are going to do. So yes - WE HAVE A ROOSTER! Our Pumpkin turned out to be a he! My children are learning the birds and the bees real quick with these chickens. Anyone who may need to have a conversation, just bring the kids over. He will be here for a short time, I don't know how long we can handle him. We do get to go outside about 4 times a day and collect eggs though. We are averaging 8 eggs - can you believe that! I just love this farm life for some reason, I just don't think that the neighbors do! I feel like I am jumping all over and not making sense. I guess that is what happens when you have too much to say. I promise to not go so long till the next post!

A Women's Job is Never Done!

For those of you who are wondering why I never post - I have grounded myself from blogging for a while. I am starting to go crazy, which means my house isn't organized enough. So I have started spring cleaning my house and promised myself that I wouldn't blog until I was done. So why am I blogging now? Because this video was too good and felt too much like what I was going through. One of these days soon I will be out and let you know about my life again! For now it is just like being locked up.

Vacation

We got a chance to get away and took it! Patrick has been working 6 days a week for a couple months now and he needed a break so we headed out to San Diego. It had been 4 years since we had been to Sea World so we went there first.

We thought that we would be safe sitting in the soak zone at the dolphin show. Here we are before it started and before we got soaked. Us girls were grateful for Patrick's sweatshirt because that was our only barrier between the whale (I don't remember what kind it was) that was continuously splashing us with his tale. Patrick on the other hand was on his own and had nothing to protect him. We just carried around his dripping sweatshirt all day and it dried just in time for the cold night.

We were waiting in line to get to feed the dolphins, so while I stood there Patrick kept the girls busy with flowers and picture posing.

Finally we got into feed the dolphins - My favorite part!

Kalley couldn't wait to hold a starfish! She was asking the second we walked in the gate. You can tell that she was enjoying every moment. Cassidy looks a little scared but she really wasn't she wouldn't look at the camera so I had to hold her face still.

We didn't know what we were going to do when we woke up Saturday morning. All we knew is that we needed Mimi's Cafe instead of the dive we ate at the first morning. So we got a wild hair and decided to try out Legoland.

Here is our little tour guide. She thought she was so big holding the map. Anytime I got mine out she had to take a look.

The most amazing part of the whole park is miniland USA. The have replicas made of Legos of places in the USA. Here they are in front of the New York, NY casino in Las Vegas.

We got to drive these little boats. You can see that Lexy was a little frustrated. She was all by herself so she had to keep trying. After a few traffic jams she made it back to the dock.

They had a place where you build a Lego car and race it. I think Patrick enjoyed this one - but it was my turn to rest and snap a few pictures of course. Her is Lexy very into her project.

Last but not least we couldn't leave without a shark attack - a Lego shark of course.

Easter

Happy Easter - I think! Lexy was up with anticipation at 4:00 and I don't think ever went back to sleep. By 6:00 in the morning she had thrown up just because she was so excited or so hungry. Kalley was up at 6:30 so they finally got to see there baskets but it wasn't until 7:00 that Cassidy woke up and they could search for eggs. Here they are showing off there eggs.


You can't tell but these are the eggs that they put there names on with the magic crayon you get with the egg dying kit. I took about 6 pictures of Kalley and could not get her to open her eyes. And where is Dad? Of course sleeping soundly in bed - he didn't even wake up when I took the picture. As you can tell I am the one who gets excited about holidays not my husband.
He finally woke up and we went to my parents for an Easter breakfast since every one's church didn't start till later (including ours at 2:30 pm)!

Here are almost all their Allen cousins. Mitchel decided to break tradition and go skiing so we missed them and their kids. One other way that having Spring Break and Easter in the same week really messed things up!

Where have I been!

It has been forever since I have posted and now I am putting all my pictures up but I didn't know where to post all of my craziness and explain what I have been doing instead of blogging. Well Spring Break and kids took up a ton of time. Easter and St. Patrick's day in the same week seemed to make it that much busier. The Friday before Easter I was at the park with friends doing an Easter egg hunt when mine and my friends purses were stolen. It didn't seem like it should be that big of a deal but it completely messed me up. They got all my keys (including my spare - which was tucked away in a pocket) my wallet with debit cards and checks and my cell phone. All of those things take quite a while to replace. I had to go to a Chevy dealership to have a new key made so I could even get into my car. I had to cancel all my cards and one checking account and get a new cell phone. I also couldn't get my mail for a week till the post office changed the lock on my mail box since I had no key. In the end it just stinks to have your purse stolen and it makes it worse that I know it is just sitting in a dumpster somewhere. They didn't get any money from me or use any of my cards before they were canceled. But it has cost more then I expected to replace what they took. Does that make it OK that I haven't blogged in about 2 weeks?

Cassidy's Preschool Easter Party

Cassidy's preschool had an Easter party at the park. For those of you who know and see Cassidy you will not be surprised by this picture. She can not help but dance when there is music (even at church during sacrament meeting she has to dance in the isles). All of the kids were singing a song but Cassidy is the only one dancing. The Easter bunny showed up and she wasn't very thrilled with that so I jumped in. She was scared of the Easter bunny after that. When we put her to bed on Saturday night she told Patrick that she didn't want the Easter bunny to touch her toes (she wanted them covered up). To make her feel better he promised her that the Easter bunny wouldn't come in the house. Thank goodness when she saw her basket in the morning she didn't care anymore.

Cassidy's First Haircut

Cassidy finally got her first haircut. Here she is before her haircut showing off her long hair. Patrick wouldn't let me cut it very much so I had her take off 3 inches. I took her to a place called Lollilocks which is specifically for kids. It has a very fun set up that worked well for her first time. She actually held still long enough to have it cut straight across. She loved the pink elephant, as you can tell!
